Veradigm Billing Services
Complete medical billing run inside Veradigm — claims, posting, denials and reporting — inside your existing system: you keep your software, your data and your workflows; we supply the billing team.
Veradigm — the company long known as Allscripts — builds software for ambulatory practices. Its clinical products include the TouchWorks and Professional EHRs, paired with Veradigm Practice Management for scheduling, charges and billing. If your practice runs on Veradigm, Elite Bill Care provides full billing services inside your existing system — you keep your software, your data and your workflows; we supply the billing operation.
What we do inside Veradigm
- Eligibility and authorizations — coverage verified before the visit and authorizations handled through our eligibility verification and prior authorization services.
- Charge review and claim submission — charges flowing from the EHR reviewed for coding accuracy, then submitted daily (see coding support and claim submission).
- ERA/EOB posting and reconciliation — payments posted, deposits matched and adjustments checked (see payment posting).
- Denials and AR worked in-platform — denials categorized and appealed, aging worked down inside your practice management system (see denial management and AR management).
- Reporting — collections, aging and denial reporting from your own data (see reporting and analytics).
Platform-specific workflow
In a typical Veradigm setup, the clinical and financial sides are separate applications that feed each other: encounters documented in the EHR generate charges that land in Practice Management, where billing staff review, scrub and release them as claims. That hand-off is where ambulatory billing usually leaks — charges that never cross over, or cross without the codes and modifiers the documentation supports. Our daily rhythm starts there: charge reconciliation between the two sides first, then claim work.
Claims typically go out through the clearinghouse connection the practice already uses, and electronic remittances return for posting in the same system. Because Veradigm practices range from single-specialty offices to large groups, configurations vary; we learn your charge flow, your payer mix and your existing reports during onboarding and work to that setup rather than replacing it.
Ambulatory practices also feel payer mix sharply: a handful of payers usually account for most of the volume, and each has its own authorization and documentation habits. We build our daily work around your actual mix — eligibility and authorization checks weighted toward the payers and visit types that deny most often — and report denial and aging trends in the format your practice already reviews, so the numbers connect directly to decisions about scheduling, staffing and payer contracts.
No migration, no disruption
Onboarding is access and configuration, not a system change: named-user logins under our Business Associate Agreement, permissions limited to billing functions, and billing begins in the platform your front desk already knows. See the full operation on our medical billing services page, or the other platforms on our software page.
Frequently asked questions
Do we need to give you our Veradigm login?
You create named-user access for our team in your Veradigm applications, with permissions limited to billing functions. Named users keep every action attributable and auditable, and our access is covered by a Business Associate Agreement. Your practice controls what we can see and do, and can adjust or revoke it at any time. We do not use shared logins — both the EHR side and Practice Management can be scoped so we see the billing functions we need and nothing more.
Can you clean up our existing AR in Veradigm?
Yes. Aged AR review and recovery inside Practice Management is a standard starting point. We work the aging by payer and age, pursue recoverable balances with follow-up and appeals, and reconcile the charge side against the EHR to catch encounters that were documented but never billed — a common source of silent leakage in two-application setups. You get a clear report of what was recovered, what remains and what patterns caused the backlog in the first place.
Do charges flow from our EHR into Practice Management automatically?
Typically, yes: completed encounters in TouchWorks or Professional generate charges that appear in Practice Management for review and claim creation. But 'typically' matters — the flow depends on your configuration, and charges can stall between the two sides. Our process includes a daily reconciliation of documented encounters against billed charges, so anything stuck in between is found and fixed quickly rather than surfacing months later as unbilled revenue or a timely-filing problem.
