Oracle Health Billing Services
Complete medical billing run inside Oracle Health — claims, posting, denials and reporting — inside your existing system: you keep your software, your data and your workflows; we supply the billing team.
Oracle Health — the platform long known as Cerner before Oracle's acquisition — powers hospitals and health systems across the country. Its Millennium platform carries the clinical record, and its revenue cycle functions handle patient accounting for facility and professional billing. If your organization runs on Oracle Health, Elite Bill Care provides full billing services inside your existing system — you keep your software, your data and your workflows; we supply the billing operation.
What we do inside Oracle Health
- Eligibility and authorizations — coverage verified before visits and authorizations managed against the schedule, through our eligibility verification and prior authorization services.
- Charge review and claim submission — charges checked for coding and completeness before submission, backed by coding support and daily electronic claim submission.
- ERA/EOB posting and reconciliation — payments posted, deposits matched and contractual adjustments verified (see payment posting).
- Denials and AR worked in-platform — every denial categorized and appealed, aged balances followed up inside the same system (see denial management and accounts receivable management).
- Reporting — collections, aging and denial reporting built from your Oracle Health data (see reporting and analytics).
Platform-specific workflow
Health-system billing in the Millennium environment typically runs through patient accounting worklists: accounts surface for charge review, claim edits, follow-up and denial handling, and staff work them by priority and age. Facility and professional charges often live in the same enterprise build, which means a single encounter can generate both a hospital claim and a professional claim that have to stay consistent with each other. We work those worklists daily, resolve edits where they originate, and keep both sides of the encounter aligned.
Claims typically leave the system through clearinghouse connections the organization already maintains, and remittances return the same way for posting. Because enterprise builds vary widely — service areas, encounter types and payer rules differ from one health system to the next — we start by learning your build and your worklist structure rather than imposing an outside template on it.
Follow-up discipline matters at health-system scale, where one payer's behavior can affect thousands of accounts at once. We track denial and underpayment patterns across the enterprise rather than encounter by encounter, so a payer that starts short-paying a service line is caught from the data, not from a year-end surprise. Contractual adjustments are verified against expected reimbursement, and variances are worked as their own queue instead of being absorbed silently into the write-off numbers.
No migration, no disruption
Onboarding is access and configuration, not a system change: named-user logins under our Business Associate Agreement, permissions limited to billing functions, and billing begins in the platform your team already knows. See the full operation on our medical billing services page, or the other platforms on our software page.
Frequently asked questions
Do we need to give you our Oracle Health login?
You create named-user access for our team inside your Oracle Health environment, with permissions limited to billing functions. Every action is logged under our own user identities, access is covered by our Business Associate Agreement, and your IT team controls the scope — it can be reviewed or revoked at any time. We do not use shared credentials, and we work within the security and auditing standards your organization already enforces for its own revenue cycle staff.
Can you clean up our existing AR in Oracle Health?
Yes. Aged AR cleanup is a standard starting point: we work your follow-up and denial worklists by age, payer and balance, pursue the recoverable accounts, and identify the ones that should be written off under your policies. Just as valuable, we report the root causes we find — the charge, registration or authorization patterns feeding the backlog — so the cleanup holds. Everything happens inside your system, visible to your team in the same worklists they already use.
Can you handle facility and professional billing together?
Yes. In a Millennium environment, one encounter typically produces both facility and professional charges, and the two claims have to agree with each other. Our team works both sides in the same system: charges reviewed together, claims submitted in step, and payments and denials reconciled across the encounter. That single-system view is exactly what prevents the mismatches — different codes, different totals, one side paid and the other denied — that slow health-system collections down.
